Phirni is a North Indian originated dessert made from coarsely ground rice, milk and sugar cooked on a slow flame sprinkled with almonds, kesar, which results in creamy, rich and thick texture flavoured with a cardamom powder and saffron to give it a mouth licking taste made during special occasion and festivals like Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Karwa Chauth and many more.
